It's not that Nepal offers trekking option in some limited areas. You just dare to walk anywhere in Nepal and you will discover every place you reach has something special. Kathmandu Valley ringed by the lush green hills and lofty Himalayan peaks has incredible territories in the flanking regions. Kathmandu valley is not just famous for art and culture. Walking along the hills of the valley will give you a great pleasure in short time with less effort.
This trek generally offers you the opportunity to grab the fun of walking without any strenuous activity. This trek starts from Budhanilkantha, a sacred Hindu temple of with giant single black basalt statue of Lord Vishnu. From there you will hike toward Chisapani via Shivapuri National Park. The trail is so fascinating and the weather is so just favorable just meant for walking.
After leaving Chisapani behind, you walk towards Nagarkot along the path full of mist. Nagarkot lies at the elevation of 2195m from where you can witness the breathtaking view of sunrise and sunset along with the panoramic view of the Himalayas on a clear day. Then you head towards Dhulikhel, which is also a famous hill station near from Kathmandu. Famous for sunrise view and spectacular view of Himalayan Mountains above green forests, Dulikhel is true place to relax.
Mid-hill culture, Himalayan panorama and floral and faunal biodiversity along with mesmerizing sunrise views are the prime highlights of the trek. Meant for everyone, this trek can be undertaken even by kids and senior citizens who can walk few miles a day.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel
Day 2: Full day Kathmandu valley sightseeing.
Day 3: Drive to Budhanilkantha and trek to Shivapuri hill, Camping
Day 4: Trek to Chisapani and over night at lodge
Day 5: Trek to Nagarkot over night at hotel
Day 6: After spectacular view of the Sunrise trek down to Dhulikhel over night at a resort
Day 7: After spectacular views of the sunrise drive back to Kathmandu via sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Day 8: Full day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Day 9: Depart to International Airport
