Trek to the sacred lake in Langtang Region, that brings thousand Hindu pilgrimages every year…
Langtang Valley is known as the valley of glaciers and frozen lake. This incredibly beautiful valley ringed by the magnificence of lofty Himalayan peaks and lush woodlands of Langtang National Park enjoys two major river systems; Trishuli and Budi Gandaki making the place the best-suited habitat for birds and wild species. Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is a pilgrimage trek that winds through the remote trails inside the Langtang National Park.
Beginning the trek from Syabrubenshi we move towards beautiful Langtang valley, crossing rivers and high passes. The spectacular mountains surrounding the valley sprawl right before our eyes and to be so close to Mother Nature is defiantly a unique experience for the first timers.
A little further up the valley is Kyangin Gompa, where you stop overnight. You pass through Nubamatang, nestled in a hidden valley, on your way up to view the glaciers, which is considered the gateway to Tibet. You travel through Syabru and Sing Gompa to a high plateau, where the sacred lake Gosinkunda is located. Crossing the Lauribinayak Pass (4610m.), you continue south, leaving the Langtang region behind you as you travel through the Helambu valley to Gul Bhanjyang.
The powerful quake has affected the region so badly that the trek is suspended. However, the works of reviving the walking adventure to the sacred lake is going on rapidly and once all things are set we will let you know.
